Roy St. John MD

Roy C. St. John is a board-certified Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Specialist with over three decades of expertise and leadership in the healthcare community. He graduated with honors from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1985 and completed his postdoctoral training at Ohio State University Hospitals.


Dr. St. John’s career is marked by a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education. He currently serves as Principal Investigator at Remington-Davis Research, Chief Medical Officer at The Breathing Association and an Ohio Health eICU Staff Physician.

For 20 years, Dr. St. John was a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Ohio State University College of Medicine. He also spent seven years as the Associate Medical Director eICU of Ohio Health. Throughout his career, Dr. St. John has held leadership roles at Mount Carmel West and in the Mount Carmel Health System as well.

Dr. St. John’s contributions to medical research are extensive, with his involvement in numerous clinical trials and publications in journals. Some of his notable research endeavors relate to acute lung injury, sepsis, COPD and cryptogenic bronchiolitis.

Recognized for exemplary service and expertise, Dr. St. John has received several awards over the years, including the Lifeline of Ohio Physician of the Year and the OSU College of Medicine Distinguished Educator Award.
